And, last week found me in the studio with awesome audiobook coach and consultant Richard Rieman. Yup—we did it … six hours later and done in the allocated time, it was a HUGE TaDah with the completion (at least my part) of the voicing for my newest book, How to Create a $1,000,000 Speech. And this month, Sandy Lawrence heads up the team to "formally" launching the publication of all three versions—print, eBook, and audiobook. Three very, very hot bonuses will be popping on Cyber Monday—put the day on your calendar, November 26th and throughout the week. Grab them.

Shout out time … Huge Wowsa’s to Dave Westfall for holding #1 over the week on Amazon for his book, Big Weddings Suck. Ron Beach took delivery for his new book, The Virtual Divide and Charles Fischer heads to printing with The Power of the Socratic Classroom.

And make sure you listen in to Thursday’s podcast—it’s all about creating the Author Fan Formula and awesome tips on grabbing a spot on the USA TODAY bestseller list. It’s the "pre" before the webinar on November 28th.

More Great Tools

If you are repurposing your content, run it through Copyscape.com to determine if it shows up as "new". The SEO gods will rank you lower in the overall scheme of social media things if you are reposting the exact duplicate of what you published last year in your blog or wherever it was.
Rearrange bullets and the words/adjectives/verbs within. Write a new lead paragraph. The reality is you have a solid draft—now do an edit on it … and a new title. Then hit your publish button. Copyscape is an online plagiarism detection service that checks whether similar text content appears elsewhere on the web.

RankTracker.com is a reliable platform for tracking keyword rankings across multiple websites and search engines. It makes it easy to track daily keyword performance in real-time and analyze competitors. Rank Tracker is simple, instantly actionable, and powerful. There’s a free 10-day trial and then a cost.

Savvy authors shouldn’t miss this one:

First, here’s the replay that runs a total of 80 minutes including questions:

Next … Get ready for ALL TREATS … and NO TRICKS with Graphics Secrets to Create Eye-Popping PowerPoint Slides in LESS than One-Minute!

· If you are a speaker or speaker-to-be … you need to watch and learn.
· If you are educating your audience and plan on using visuals … you need to watch and learn.
·  If you are doing any type of interaction that uses slides and PowerPoint, you need to watch and learn.

There is a reason why my presenter, Dr. Jaclyn Kostner is paid the big bucks for all her online and remote presentations (I’m talking 4 and 5 figures for her presentations): she knows how to keep her participants and audiences visually engaged from the get-go. Now, so will you.

Questions of the Week:

Question: Should I use the current year for my copyright page?

Answer: Maybe … maybe not. My personal rule for my Book Shepherd clients is that for a book that will be in print—meaning I can buy it/order it—by August 15 … than it’s a "yes." Otherwise, I roll it to the next year. Why? you might ask. Because you are moving toward the end of the year. With fall time surfacing … it means that January and a new year is around the corner. Meaning that your book will be viewed as a year old when it could just be a month or few. It’s now entered the "long in the publishing tooth" arena. Do yourself, your book, and your potential book buyers a favor. Give it a longer and fresher life. As you read this, it’s November. Would you want a two-month book to appear "fresh" after just a few months versus already "last year’s" model? Of course you would.
